University of Oxford

The University of Oxford is a collegiate research university in Oxford, England. There is evidence of teaching as early as 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's second-oldest university in continuous operation. The Oxford Institute of Population Ageing achieved Institute status in 2001. The institute undertakes research into the implications of population change. As a multi-disciplinary group, its researchers work in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe, and run the Population Networks AFRAN (Africa) LARNA (Latin America) EAST (Central and Eastern Europe).
